One to One Sessions

This is not about thinking less. It is about thinking more clearly.

About our Approach

At Us Together session is fifty five minutes of structured, honest work. Not advice. Not reassurance. A guided process of examining what your thinking is actually doing, where it comes from, and what it is trying to resolve.

The work is grounded in CBT, existential psychology, and neuroscience. It is designed for people who are already functioning, often highly capable, but carrying a persistent sense that something in their thinking is unresolved. People who have tried other approaches and found that something remains.

The Change You Want Just a Click Away

Here’s what you might like to know before you book

  • You bring whatever is present. A thought that keeps returning, a decision that will not resolve, a pattern you have noticed but cannot shift. We start there.

From that starting point the session moves through three stages. First we examine the thought or the issue directly. Not to challenge it immediately but to understand what it is actually claiming, where it comes from, and what it is connected to. Most thinking that causes difficulty is not random. It is attached to something deeper about values, identity, or direction.

The second stage looks at what is underneath. Where does this pattern appear in your life, in work, in relationships, in how you make decisions? What does it protect, avoid, or try to resolve? This is where the existential layer of the work becomes relevant, because the questions that drive persistent thinking are rarely just cognitive. They are questions about meaning, purpose, and what you are actually trying to build.

The third stage moves toward something practical. A reframe, a skill to develop, or a piece of work to take away and examine before the next session. This might be a specific way of observing your thinking, a question to sit with, or a structured reflection exercise. The aim is not to solve everything in the room but to leave with something concrete that continues the work between sessions.

  • This is not a quick fix and it is not presented as one. Lasting change in how you think requires repeated examination, practice, and a willingness to sit with uncertainty while the picture becomes clearer. A single session can shift perspective significantly. A course of sessions builds something more durable.

This work sits alongside other forms of support rather than replacing them. If you are currently receiving psychiatric care, taking medication, or working with another therapist, that does not disqualify you from this work. For many people the two run in parallel, each addressing a different layer of the same experience.

This is not crisis support. If you are currently in acute distress, the free conversation is the right first step so we can establish together what kind of support is most appropriate right now.

It is a genuine conversation to establish whether this is the right place for you at this point in time.

  • People who think deeply and find themselves stuck. People whose thinking returns to the same territory regardless of how many times they have examined it. People who are functioning but feel a persistent gap between where they are and where they know they need to be.

People who want to understand their thinking, not just manage it.

If you are not sure whether this describes you, start with the free twenty minute conversation. That is what it is there for.

  • Sessions are fifty five minutes at $80 per session. Booked individually with no package commitment required. This gives you the flexibility to work at your own pace and assess progress as you go.

Payment is taken at the time of booking through the secure booking system.

  • When you book your first session you will receive a confirmation email containing a short intake form. This takes around ten minutes to complete and gives me the context I need to make the first session as focused and useful as possible. Please complete it before your appointment.

If you have not already had the free twenty minute conversation, I would recommend starting there. It gives us both a clearer picture before committing to the full session.

  • WHAT HAPPENS NEXT The conversation takes place online via Google Meet. You will receive the link in your confirmation email along with the intake form.

After the call, if we both feel this is the right fit, we can discuss next steps. If not, you will leave with a clearer picture of where to go from here.

No one resolves this for you. But you do not have to work it out alone. This is where the examination starts.
