Sessions

Sessions are 60 minutes in duration and conducted online via Google Meet. The session rate is £80 per session for all clients, wherever located. Payment is taken in pounds sterling in advance of each session through Acuity Scheduling via Stripe; for clients outside the UK, currency conversion is handled by your card provider. Sessions are confirmed upon receipt of payment. If payment is not received the session will not be held.

Confidentiality and its limits

What you discuss in sessions is confidential. Information may be disclosed without your consent only where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, where a child or vulnerable adult is at risk and safeguarding obligations apply, where disclosure is ordered by a court, or where a statutory duty to disclose exists. Wherever it is safe and lawful to do so, any disclosure will be discussed with you first and limited to what is necessary.

Records, AI-assisted drafting and your data

A brief record is kept of each session, identified by your initials or a client code rather than your name. Us Together uses an enterprise Google Workspace environment, including the Gemini AI assistant, to help draft session notes from transcripts under Google’s Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Your content is not used to train AI models outside this organisation, and every note is reviewed and approved by the practitioner before it is filed. A session is recorded or transcribed only with your separate consent, given at booking; the recording and transcript are destroyed once the note is filed, normally within seven days, and declining does not affect your access to sessions. No consumer or free AI tool is ever used with client information.

Data protection and retention

Us Together is registered with the ICO as a data controller (registration 00014667670). Session records are processed on the basis of your explicit consent and are retained for seven years from last contact, in line with BACP good practice and the Limitation Act 1980, then securely destroyed. If you were under 18 at last contact, records are kept until your 25th birthday. You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability by emailing us@ustogether.co.uk, and you may complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk. Some service providers process data in the United States; those transfers are protected by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK Addendum to Standard Contractual Clauses.

Complaints

Raise anything directly in a session, or write to concerns@ustogether.co.uk. Complaints are acknowledged within five working days and answered in full within twenty working days.
